Review content:
We booked reservations for a romantic dinner dance on Valentines evening. Its the only time we've ever had to prepay for dinner. Probably because most people would have wanted their money back. We were quite disappointed and expressed this with the innkeepers via email twice with no response. There was no ambiance as four of us were seated at a large round table for eight in a very brightly lit room. The inexperienced servers rushed us through the most overpriced, deplorable prim rib cooked to the perfection of shoe leather with no au jus. Mushy over cooked caned green beans and cheese cake that surly was made from a box mix. The food tasted like something from a meat and three, but worse! The hall was overbooked, with tables on the dance floor, needless to say there was no dancing. Family was considering using this venue for a wedding but that is definitely out of the question after this experience. Based on this particular evening we would not recommend Carriage Lane Reception House.
