I highly recommend Kristen Cecil at Salon DeLucia in El Dorado Hills. On my first visit she listened carefully and was happy I brought a picture to explain the general type of cut I'd like. My hair (before Kristen) was an odd color -- I had gone from dark brown & gray to blond just six months earlier, and was disappointed in the strange, solid hue and the damage from multiple attempts to correct it. Kristen showed me a picture from a magazine to help me visualize the color changes she could achieve, using a combination of highlights and lowlights. So, before she started, we both had a good sense of what we were expecting. Kristen doesn't constantly chatter while she's working, which is very pleasant. She cut my hair wet and then fine-tuned it once dry. I love the cut - it's better than the picture. And the color came out great - finally a believable blond color! I had explained what I needed when I booked the appointment, and Kristen allowed enough time to get it all done without holding up the next client. I appreciate this because she didn't have to rush toward the end or try to juggle another client while finishing with me. She doesn't take credit cards, but there are two ATMs nearby. Also, she only works 3 days per week, but I had no problem getting an appointment within a few days. Pros: Great stylist - Kristen Cecil. Plenty of parking; close to Rt 50
