I don't usually write reviews for contractors, but I know that online reviews are becoming increasingly important for contractors with a Web presence so that customers can try to get a feel for a contractor before deciding to work with them. That said, I felt that I should share my two cents about working with Ray on my patio. I had an existing large brick (loose, not mortared thankfully!) patio that I wanted removed and replaced with colored/stamped concrete. Ray gave me a bid at a great price and never changed the cost throughout the project. Communication throughout the process was honestly a little lacking but Ray appears to be a pretty busy guy so I can understand that to an extent. Still, you get a little nervous when you'd paid a deposit for a project and you can't get a hold of the contractor for 48 hours or they don't show up on the schedule day to do the job. I had both of those things happen twice and I was starting to get pretty worried about things. However, I did finally get a day set in stone with Ray and when his team came out to do the job they were fast and professional. His team worked like a well-oiled machine and they got the entire job done in one day after the brick was removed. I was also very grateful to work out a deal with Ray where he would remove the existing brick for free and try to resell it himself. Most other contractors wanted to charge me for labor/disposal of the brick, but Ray saw it as an opportunity to make the situation work fro both of us. Also I was very grateful that his team handled the entire process, no sub-contractors, which greatly minimized the chance of someone not doing part of the job. As for the finished product, I couldn't possibly be happier. Ray really understood our vision and we gave him a lot of freedom to choose colors/patterns that would work with our house/landscaping. I would highly recommend letting him do the design for you unless you really know what you want. He'll do a great job and I bet you'll love it!
