I am a member of Premiere Lady Fitness. I originally signed up with Figure World in 1991. I have been a dedicated member for over 20 years. During this time I have had many opportunities to explore other options but I have never strayed from the gym I love most. My mother is also a member and has been for several years. She is 72 years old and attends faithfully 3-4 times a week. I attend classes six days a week. I am saddened by the recent change of events at our gym in South Austin. I am dismayed at the cancellation of Body Sculpting (Debbie), Hard Bodies (Terry), Power Hour (Karen), Spin (Cori) and other classes that have ardent and solid attendance. The instructors are incredible and have a unique relationship with each and every member. We are a close-nit family and it will be a deep loss when my friends cancel their memberships to go to other gyms that will accommodate their needs. Many a night after spin a group of us sit in the dry sauna to visit. It is some of the best times I have ever had! We have a bond that is unique compared to other gyms. If only the walls had ears you would know what a profoundly negative effect this has had on the morale of all ladies who are members at PLF. I too pray that management will re-evaluate their decision to cancel these classes. I realize that times are hard and we need to cut corners where we can but not at the expense of our members. This is a disservice to the dedicated women of this gym! I will not renew my membership at the end of December if the classes are not re-instituted. Please listen to your members, their voices ring the truth! Please do the next right thing and save our gym!!!
