Review content:
I was looking for some Karaoke software for a Christmas present, and came across the website for Hollywood DJ. Now upon further research, I understand that what I purchased was old software, that was my fault. What I received however wasn?t. What I received was a box of old software that had been previously purchased at Comp USA. It still had the sticker on it from them. Not only that, but the box was open as well. I had spent $100 on this, and as I said it was to be a Christmas present. So of course I called to speak with someone about it. The first time I called, I was told the gentleman I needed to talk to was busy, and they took my number to call me back when he was finished. I waited a few hours and never got a call back, so I phoned them again. He immediately knew who I was, and my problem. (I?m assuming the person I talked to before gave him the rundown.) He told me I could not return it because they had no way of knowing if I had used the activation code. And they do not take returns on software. I argued that the box was open when I received it. So how do I know it hasn?t been used myself? I was assured many times that it would work. I still don?t know, because I never gave it as the present. I still have it and have never tried it. What it boils down to, is I was sold an old piece of software that had been purchased somewhere else, and somewhere along the line had been opened before it got to me. I was never able to resolve this to my satisfaction with them. I expected a new, unused, unopened item. What I got was an old, resold, and open box. I will never do business with them again, and I suggest you make sure you know what you are getting from them if you do.
