Review content:
I've been going here for years and I adore this place. It's ironic that in Southeran California it is extremely hard at times to find a genuinely good Mexican food. You'll either find just fast ""Mexican food"" like that of Taco Bell or Del Taco or you'll find an uptight, suit and tie restaurant with a paragraph for the title of a dish and with a chef who wants to reinvent the wheel of cooking but still try to keep the essence of Mexican cooking or you'll find a cheap place that tastes equally as cheap. La Paz is neither of these. They usually have warm, friendly service, though at times when I've been there the service is lacking. They give big portions, but don't require big bills. The meal is extremely affordable. They have an environment great for kids and groups. This is down home Mexican cooking with an American twist. The chips and salsa are hands down the best in town. Their burritos are to die for. The place may not be much to look at and it may be hard to find a parking space (I suggest going on a weekday), but the food and environment makes up for all of that.
