Businiess name:  Ye Olde Pizza Shoppe

Review content:
I grew up in Newberg eating Ye Olde Pizza on a weekly basis since 1980. As an adult I moved away but I've traveled the world and still considered Ye Olde my favorite pizza. My Parents were also regular customers but told me the pizza quality had become sporadic and were now eating at Izzy's. On 4/19/09 my family was returning home from our beach house and stopped by Ye Olde for lunch around 1:00. I was surprised to see that the place was almost empty. Only two other families in the whole restaurant. A friendly lady took our order of a large pizza with two side salads for my wife and I. We sat down and waited about 15 minutes hoping our salads would arrive quickly as they used to in the past. We watched the lady who took our order appologize to another family for putting the wrong toppings on their pizza. After about 20 minutes I went to the counter and asked if I could get our salads. The lady said she was just starting them. She quickly gave me our salads which were acceptable in quality. About 30 minutes after placing our oder the lady came to our table and asked us again what toppings we ordered; stating that she wanted to make sure the cook made our pizza right. After about 45 minutes our pizza arrived lacking the green pepper we ordered on it. I informed the same young lady that our pizza was missing the green pepper. She seemed annoyed that I mentioned the mistake. She said she would take care of it and returned with a bowl of raw cold green pepper. I told her that I did not want cold green pepper on my pizza and told her she could take it away. She became very loud and basically shouted ""so you don't even want the green pepper"" ""How rude"" ""I can't believe this"". She walked away from our table and my wife and I could hear her shouting to co-workers in the kitchen about my pointing out my pizza was wrong. This was easily the worst customer service I have experienced and my wife and I were both in mild shock from the incident. The lady came out to clean a table and I attempted to explain my feelings hoping for an apology. She got even more rude and said the only thing she would apologize for was screwing up our order. She asked me what's wrong ""don't I like raw vegatables"" and was yelling so loud the manager came out from the kitchen. This lady identified herself as the owner's daughter and in charge on the place. She politely listened to our story which was not disputed by the rude waitress. The manager simply told us that the employee normally did a good job and never bothered to apologize or rectify the waitresses behavior. I'm sad to say that poor, and absent management has ruined a 30 year tradition of my favorite pizza joint. Ye Olde is basically out of business. Save yourself the misery of putrid customer service and the likelihood of a very slow messed up order. I've never written a complaint review in my life, but this place gave me no choice. I completely understand why they are almost out Pros: Used to be the best pizza in the state. Cons: Terribly rude employees. Extremely slow, Wrong Order
