On our 22nd honeymoon, we used the ""SpaScape"" package - $499 - on March 10, 2012, which was to include 1 night's accomodation, two full hour massages, sauna, dinner and breakfast. My wife received an excellent massage from Anthony; my own massage was the poorest I have ever received. The spa room was closet-sized, and the floor creaked like a haunted house every time the masseuse moved - which was anything but ""soothing"". The dinner was delicious, but it didn't come with ANY beverage!!! My wife ordered iced tea, and I had diet coke - and we were told that we had to pay $7.50 for the drinks because ""drinks weren't in the package"". The waitress' service was great at first, but then we had to wait over 20 minutes after our entrees were cleared away before the desert arrived. And then another 10 after we finished desert to get our bill. So while planning on going across the street to see a movie after dinner, we ended up missing the start time. In the morning - NO HOT WATER in the shower. Unacceptable. We mentioned it to two different front desk people, and they actually responded ""yeah, that sometimes happens when people all get up at the same time"". I retorted - you are a HOTEL...people get up at the same time EVERY DAY. The desk staff there could not care less, and did absolutely nothing for our inconvenience. Lastly upon going to the breakfast, we were then informed that only a ""continental"" breakfast is part of the package (choice- a muffin OR a pastry), even though the brochure & website does not say this. We were then informed that we could order from the breakfast menu, and they would credit $5 from the package toward each order. EXCEPT here is the kicker - their continental is on the menu at $5.95 including coffee. We were credited $5....and we were ALSO charged $2 per person for coffee. This experience was EXCEPTIONALLY POOR, and we could never recommend this to anyone. Lastly, if you look at what we received ""a' la' carte"" from their price list - 2 massages at $100 each; the room on the bill shown at $99, two continental breakfasts at $6 each; the three course dinner at $28 for the salad an entree, plus maybe 7 each for dessert (dessert price not on their menu); that is $70 combined for dinner. That totals $382, plus whatever they charge for 10 minutes of sauna time. So their $499 ""package"" seems to be a rip-off.
