I can't speak to their install service or long term service etc... My experience with Longs Flooring never made it past 10 minutes on their showroom floor.
I walked in and the kid at the counter greeted me. I said its time for some new carpet and I wanted to get a schedule for an estimate.
He asked how big the place was and I gave him the sq footage but told him there were stairs. He never came out form behind the counter but did ask what kind of carpet I was looking for. I said something similar to whats on your food. He hits the calc and throws out a number that was more than double what Home Depot gave me.
I told him wow, that literally more than double what Depot quoted on a rough estimate. He hands me his card as the older guy behind the counter starts saying how Depot will charge me for matting, moving furniture, etc... I said they included all that in their quote and scheduled a day to come out and take accurate measurements. He tells the kid to go show me whats in back and I said no, never mind.
The kid says if you change your mind give me a call.
I said yeah, Ill call. Then I said no, Im lying Im not calling you for anything and walked out.
I did go back in to let them know why I was walking away. I told them Ive been in retail for over 16 years (more like 26 years) and that they deserved to know where they went wrong with me. I proceeded to explain that they did no showing of anything before quoting the price. No pad, no explanation of services nothing. I said had you tried to educate me and schedule a home measurement like I asked about maybe it'd be different but you didn't.
The reply was ""thats for the feedback but we waste a lot of time that way"".
So... I guess if your shopping they don't want your business.
