I got my first tattoo last week at Underground Art. I was VERY nervous, but it was a good experience. They require that you come in for a consultation and pay a deposit before making an appointment to have the work done. They gave me an estimate of $150-$200 and 2.5 hours to do what I wanted (I came in with a design, rather than choosing from one of their books). Vanessa did an amazing job. She was professional, pleasant, and (relatively) painless. The shop has a great ""vibe"" and was very clean. Final cost was $170 and took about 2 hours. I'm pleased with the tattoo and the instructions I recieved about taking care of it. All around, this was a pleasant experience! I highly recommend this shop and Vanessa, in particular.
