Review content:
Two years ago, the lady and I started looking for engagement rings. For two years, we visited almost every jeweler in Nashville and Atlanta and never found exactly what she was looking for. We ended up at Solomon Bro. as a buddy was one of their distributors and got us 25% off. This place is impossible to find. We met with a sales lady who asked us what we were looking for and she tried to match it to several items they had in the displays. We were looking for engagement rings and most of what we were shown were not even close to what we described. The sales lady then tried to talk us out of our style and into something opposite of what we said we wanted. When we got to the diamonds, I couldn't believe what I was shown. A 1.2c SI2 was $11K! a look at the GIA report and the angles were all out of range. Then another diamond, a 1.3c VSI1, was said to be graded conservatively. A look through the loop and there were many black carbon spots visible through the pavilion! After an hour, the lady begain telling us how customers who came in for an hour or more and didn't buy anything annoyed her. So we found a diamond and a setting we might consider at 25% off and agreed to put down a $2k deposit, just to think about it for a day or two. A simple solitaire platinum setting with a 1.32c, SI1 Radiant cut diamond will run $15K! and that was with the 25% off!! We went with another jeweler and called Solomon back for our deposit. We actually had to go back to the store (we are from Columbus) to get our deposit back. Solomon does have a large contemporary selection. If you shop at Solomon's, look at Tiffany's for almost the same price but much better Jewelry. Go to Palas for the engagement ring and I promise you will be so much happier there. We bought our wedding bands at Tiffany's and even they couldn't believe the bad service and quality at Solomon's. Pros: Good selection of name brand contemporary jewelry Cons: Worst customer service, arrogant staff, exorbitant prices, impossible to find location
