Review content:
After I spoke to Eureka about my broken Enviro Steamer (which I purchased new, thru a dealer on Ebay), the referred me to Boulevard Vacuum for warranty service. I was thrilled to be referred to Boulevard because I had used them in the past and they are right in the neighborhood. I took in my unit but forgot my receipt. A few days later I took in my receipt and the OWNER laughed in my face and said that they don't service units purchased thru Ebay. I explained that the Eureka Service Department referred me to Boulevard. The owner said that the Enviro Steamers are basically ""disposable"" units and asked me how much I paid for it. I said $80. He laughed and said, ""yeah, they aren't meant to be durable."" I was in shock at the humiliating way he was speaking to me. I explained that I gave all the details to Eureka about where and when I purchased it and they told me to bring it in because it's under warranty. Again he laughed and said, ""no, they don't warranty anything covered thru ebay , and I've talked to eureka about this."" I asked him for my unit back and he said ""Sure, we haven't done anything to it."" (meaning, they didn't even LOOK at it yet to tell me what the problem was!). I called the dealer that I bought it from. He was horrified by this information because he is a certified eureka dealer who sells a lot of units thru ebay. He implored that I call Eureka again. I called Eureka. They said this was terrible. They filed a complaint about Boulevard Vacuum and urged me to try another service location. Please note that I've always been treated very nicely in this store by the staff, including the woman who calls to tell you that your unit is fixed. It was the OWNER (and I asked if it was his store, he said yes) who treated me so curtly, arrogantly and with such disrespect. I mean really---what kind of owner LAUGHS at a customer like this? Shame on them. Pros: super close to my house Cons: misinformed owner & arrogance
