I have had my belongings in storage at Uncle Bob's self storage for just under a year. In March they raised my rent by $8.00. I made this adjustment on my automatic bank pay, but for some reason they reverted back to the previous rate on April 1. This meant that I was short $8.00 on my $87.00 payment. I was not made aware of this problem until after the 3rd of the Month. I sent a check for $8.00 and then received a bill for a $15.00 late fee. I told them that this was outrageous and absurd. I just received a bill for $40.00 late fee for not paying the $8.00, then the $15.00 late fee on time!!!!!!! A $40.00 late fee for $8.00 that I paid as soon as I received the bill!!!!!!!!! They are also threatening to sell all of my property if I don't pay them immediately by REGISTERED CHECK OR MONEY ORDER!! This for my banks error and for a customer who has always paid on time and even in advance while in the process of moving out of state. I would not recommend this facility to anyone and am moving my belongings out this weekend.
