SAN BRUNO IS LUCKY TO HAVE PENINSULA TRANSMISSION! My 18 year-old daughter recently experienced a slipping problem in her Mustang which she has enjoyed driving. Prior to bringing to Peninsula Transmission, she brought her car to another repair shop located in the Bay Area who told her that she needed to replace her transmission at a cost of $2000. Just before giving-in, I decided to have her bring her car for a second opinion to RICO at Peninsula Transmission on El Camino Real in San Bruno. Rico told her that he would check her car out for free but would need to leave her car for a half-day. He has a lot of customers and you?ll soon learn why. Later that day, when my daughter called back, Rico informed her that all that the car needed was a grommet for a cable that had fallen off. Not only did he not charge me $2000, he didn?t even charge me for the part, or even the labor to replace it. You can probably count on one hand the number of honest mechanics left in the world and we have one of them right here in our back yard! BRAVO, RICO! I?ll bring my car to you anytime! Pros: HONEST!!!, Experienced, Professional, GREAT PRICE Cons: Absolutely none.
