Businiess name:  MINI of Knoxville

Review content:
This place looks classy, but then you get to the service dept. & quickly realize its quite trashy! I have been by MINI of Knoxville multiple times for issues. The first time I was there was to have the power steering pump replaced. It was expensive, as I expected. However, there is a safety recall that I brought to the attention of the service staff. I was told there was NOT a recall, but they d be happy to work on my car & they'd charge me. No thanks. Next, I had to bring the car in for service on the amplifier. They took my car back, kept it for three days, & when I picked it up there were all kinds of issues. 1) since it is no longer under warranty, they charged me by the hour. That s fine, but they didn t tell me this until AFTER they had it for three days & it was time to pick it up, nor did they even work on what I brought it in for. 2) they DID NOT charge me by the hour when I had the power steering pump replaced, nor did they mention this charge at that visit. 3)While on my bill, they decided to spend several hours looking it over from bumper to bumper for an inspection. I didn t ask for an inspection! I asked for the amplifier to be looked at! No wonder it took them three days to work on my car! 4) when I left the lot, I quickly realized they never disconnected the bad amplifier, and now, three months later, there s still an annoying beeping sound coming from the speakers even with the stereo off!! Since all this, I have done more research into the recall that they told me did not exist on my car. I have found several websites, including a government safety recall database website, that lists the exact recall that I told them about that they kept telling me did not exist! To quote www.safercar.gov DUE TO THE LACK OF AN AUDIBLE SIGNAL, THE DRIVER MAY NOT BE AWARE OF A FLAT TIRE, WHICH INCREASES THE RISK OF A CRASH . That said, I will be more than happy to report MINI of Knoxville to the government for denying me this recall & putting my life in danger.
