Review content:
I could write a book on how horribly unprofessional this place is. The bottom line is that Onyx told me that my computer would cost $500 or more to repair, so it would be cheaper to ship it off. They have had my computer for a long time, a couple of months, and they told me I could work on the loaner in the meantime- and only pay for a week. It has been a few weeks since they shipped it off, and I called to check on the status. The guy who has been "helping" me is the most unhelpful human being I have ever dealt with. He does not answer questions, and always says that things just take a long time. I asked if I could please have the number of the Apple Depot store, so that I could check on the status. According to this guy, you can't call Apple- even Onyx can only e-mail them, and Apple takes a few days to respond. This guy misinformed me. I called Apple and they set the record straight that I have every right to know the status of my computer- and need to get the dispatch number. When I told Onyx of this news, he gave me the number immediately. He was surprised that I took action. He must have been praying I would just type in the number on the electronic system Apple has, but I wanted to make sure it was even my computer he shipped off. My intuitions were right- it was not my computer- the Apple representative looked up the serial number. Apple called Onyx and spoke with them. Apple told me that they would get to the bottom of this and that this guy seemed very shady and was not answering questions about where my computer was. Apple also told me that my computer would have only cost $85 to fix (according to Onyx it was $500). Basically Onyx was charging me over $400 total and they cannot even find my computer right now- I have a feeling they did not even ship it off and who knows where it is. I am going to the place to find out where my mac is- and if they lost it, well I cannot even type what I am going to do on here. Trust me: don't deal with them!
