Review content:
I was in Key West 09/18-09/25/08. I just got back to Tennessee yesterday afternoon. I was looking to get my first tattoo ever. I just turned 40 this year so I guess you could call it my mid-life crisis tattoo. HAHA! Anyway, I had checked around at Paradise Tattoo and Key West Ink. I was not impressed with either one. Paradise was WAY over priced as was Key West Ink. Not to mention, at Key West Ink, no one even offered any assistance at all. We looked at their books for atleast 45 minutes and no one ever asked if they could do anything for us. I decided to go one Key up which only took maybe 10 minutes. I checked out Goldie's. There were a ton of books of pictures. Goldie took time to talk with us and gave me prices on what I was interested in as well as advising which tattoos would be better for me out of the ones that I chose. He was great! J.D. actually inked me. He was AWESOME. I had always been scared of how bad it would hurt. You know how we all get the horror stories. This guy had the best hand. He did everything exactly like I wanted and it didn't really hurt. Of course around the boney area it kind of got on my nerves a little bit but, I never cried or cussed, which for me with pain is a BIG deal. I highly recommned Goldie's for newbies to tattoos and the old pros at getting them. Goldie and J.D. are the bomb! I have only had my tat two days but I'm already ready to get more!!! If you are headed to Key West or you're in the area, DEFINITELY go by and say hi to them. Thanks Goldie and J.D.!!!!!!! Oh BTW, the places I mentioned on Duvall Street wanted between $200 and $250 to do the exact tattoo that I got at Goldie's for $125. It is well worth the trip! Sincerely, Charlene from Knoxville, TN Pros: Helpful, Good hearted, Great hand, Very helpful and considerate! Cons: Can't think of any here!
