All I can say is that this is my *go-to* place for great sports massages. As a pretty hard core athlete, I do about 8 different sports including some on a highly competitive level: open water and pool swimming; biking; running; rollerblading; kayaking, triathlon; yoga (bikram)). Needless to say, I'm tough on my body. After moving to LA a year ago, I discovered LA Sports Massage. I am VERY particular with the trainers I use to keep me healthy, happy, functional, competitive and pain free for all my sports. I really can't say enough positive things about this place. For me, it's convenient to my home as I'm in Marina Del Rey but more importantly, the therapists there KNOW their stuff. I prefer ACT (Active Release Therapy) in addition to the usual deep tissue massage and Mike is fantastic in terms of using this technique. He's also an avid sports enthusiast and was really helpful in fixing me up during rotator cuff overuse issues (due to swimming - my longest event was a 25K or 15.5 MI OW swim) and a heel spur due to lots of running. Although I will say that when I can't see Mike due to my schedule, all of the other therapists I've had here were great as well. I've only had top-notch massages here. It's also very easy to get in to see someone ASAP. This is a huge bonus for me as a busy athlete with a tight schedule. I highly recommend LA Sports Massage and I continue to go here regularly!
