Review content:
I look forward to those far and few between times a public school teacher has off each year. Most of my colleagues spend their precious downtime with home maintenance, helping their own children with homework, or all those other errands that create the mundane nonsense that wears us down. I listen to their stories at the lunch table of how they spent their time, and most, I am sorry to say, are exhausted returning to a job that requires high energy, constantly on your feet, the patience of Job, and endless strategy in how to reach today's young adults. I, however, return with an inward smile that makes me radiate. Why? Please indulge me here. I travel from the Jersey shore where I live up to Cape Cod every vacation time I get to enjoy the magic that area has to offer! There is one place that offers a different kind of magic, and that is Solstice Day Spa. From the tranquil colors that greet your eyes the moment you walk in, to the meditative music during a luxurious massage that every teacher needs, to a facial that would make one imagine they were in another dimension, that is all waiting for you there. I happened to meet one of the owners of this divine place on one occasion, and I have been going back ever since. The irony of this meeting was that she graciously filled in for someone else who had left early, and after the most glorious massage, she humbly introduced herself as one of the owners. She had me at hello. Only a creative mind such as hers could coordinate such a lovely place. A sanctuary for us tired, selfless teachers to escape to...if you are on the Cape, and feel like tasting some of Heaven, visit Solstice, you will never leave disappointed........ If you are an educator, visiting Solstice for a hot stone massage, facial, or makeover is exactly what the doctor ordered to have you returning to school smiling!
