Spectrum Peripherals came to my rescue when my less than 1-year-old laptop died all of a sudden. I called the computer manufacturer (let's just say it is a prominent computer brand) and they wanted me to send it in to the factory be repaired for a $400 flat fee (not including shipping back and forth). I thought that was pretty darn outrageous, as I only paid a little more than $1000 for the laptop when I bought it new. So I did some research on the web and found this little gem of a repair/parts computer shop that was only 8 blocks away from where I live in the Inner Richmond. Took it in, and a mere 1 day later I got a call from them telling me the laptop was fixed. Total charge was about $100 for a 1GB+ memory chip (laptop's memory was dead), and only charged me $35 for labor. The service was prompt and polite. I will definitely go back for all my future computer needs! Can't beat the value! Pros: Great value, good service Cons: None
