This place doesn't even deserve one star, and I could not agree more with the other reviews on the horrific customer service and the lazy, incompetent and ignorant workers. I called the shop on a Saturday morning to inquire about getting 4 new tires and to make an appointment. I was told no appointment was needed and it would take about one hour to install the new tires. I showed up about 20 minutes later, and was stranded at the Sears for 3.5 hours while they took their “sweet time” installing the new tires, and kept telling it, “the car will be ready soon”. I drove the car home (about 5 miles), parked and left the car overnight and thru Sunday, as I didn’t need to drive it anywhere. About 9pm on Sunday night, I got in the car to drive to the store, and low and behold…one of the tires was COMPLETELY FLAT! So another 2 hours on a Sunday night waiting for someone to help me change a flat tire (I am currently pregnant, and could not get it done on my own). I call the shop first thing Monday morning to tell them what has happened, and that I would like to make an appointment to get the tire changed out for Tuesday morning. The gentleman on the other end of the phone could have cared less and told me “no appointment necessary, just bring the car in tomorrow morning.” I take an early lunch break and show up Tuesday morning, explain again to the gentleman at the desk what transpired over the weekend, explain how upset I am, and that I want all the tires to be looked at again, as I had just spent over $600 and 5.5 hours of my time dealing with these tires. I explain that I need to be out of the shop in one hour to get back to work, and the worker says, “well, that probably won’t happen cause there are other cars in front of you.” I replied, “well, I tried to make an appointment for this morning, but was told that was not needed, and I am already extremely upset and cannot take more time off from work.” An hour goes by, and I go back to the desk to see what the situation is, and they guy says to me, “well, your tire sensor was rotted out, so the air just leaked out all night…they should have told you it was bad on Saturday and that you need to replace them,” to which I responded, “well, they need to replaced, but that is not on my dime, as I have already spent enough time and money and it was your mechanic’s mistake for not bringing this to my attention on Saturday.” After a lot of hmmming and hawing…he finally agreed to replace it for free, and said again, “your car will be finished shortly.” Another 30 minutes goes by, and I can still see my car sitting there with no one working on it. I go to try to find someone to ask what is going on and surprise…no one can be found! Finally, the guy from the desk comes to find me and tells me (while also laughing), “got some bad news…looks like the guy replacing the sensors actually broke the tire sensor piece on your car, so we have to wait for a new part and fix it.” At this time, I am angry beyond words and ask to speak to a manager…the desk guy goes in some back office (supposedly where the manager is), comes back and says to me, “sorry he can’t see you and said he can’t do anything about it.”!!!!! WOW was I floored…I may have lost my cool and let this desk guy have it, as I am now on hour 7 of dealing with these clowns over some new tires. Finally, another 45 minutes later, a mechanic (whom I had never seen before), came into the room, handed me my keys and mumbled, “sorry…it’s done.” All in all, would never go back or never recommend this place…Sears Corporation should be embarrassed by the people and the lack of customer service at the Sears Auto Chicago Ridge Mall!
