An old friend and I were in the mood for some tandoori chicken, so we drove over to a close Indian restaurant, The New Taste. The place was entirely empty of patrons when we went in. There were only a few workers blowing up balloons for a birthday party. A waiter came up to us and coldly informed us that the buffet was over. My friend explained that we just wanted one dish, so he seated us. After we ordered, the men blowing up balloons next to our table started popping them at a horrendously LOUD level for kicks. We were visibly rattled, but were given no apology. The food was horribly slow to the point that we told the waiter it would have to be "to go" because we could not stand the balloon torture any longer. He, too, gave no apology and gave us a dirty look. He brought over our food without a word of remorse. The chicken was overly dry and unappetizing. We will never come here again.
