The office tends to bill for anything that might be minutely related to a word they breathe -- even if they didn't actually DO anything. Just got billed $30 for a "developmental testing" assessment (questionnaire with about 8 questions that I filled out with "no concerns" in response to each question) -- done during a well-child visit for 2 year old son. We had no concerns and no vaccinations due -- standard 2 year old visit. Had they actually done some sort of assessment (even a bubble test with lots of questions that they then had to enter into the computer), I wouldn't be irritated. Nope. A form with open-ended questions that I filled out with "no concerns" -- $30 please. The doc didn't even mention it. Will be contacting the state's attorney general (billing for a "procedure" that wasn't actually DONE seems like insurance padding/fraud to me) and posting more reviews online. If you have awesome insurance, you may not see the extra charges for nothing -- if not -- watch out.
