I bought a powder that mixed with water makes a rubber-like mold. It promised to be easy & to create fine detail. Every mold I made came out lumpy & would not properly dry, ruining the details in my cast. Following the directions, I used 1/2 the package, wasted an hour & threw away all molds as unusable. It's either a faulty product, or it was beyond shelf life. I tried to return the defective product. The cashier called his manager & said, "A customer is trying to return a product, but she's already used half of it," in a tone which suggested I was trying to steal from them the $6 this product cost me. He then informed me that his manager said I couldn't return it. He was still on the phone & I'm sure the manager heard me retort, "But the product didn't work. It's not like I used half of it to my satisfaction & am trying to return it now that I'm done with it." The manager said something else to the cashier over the phone & he said, "It's our policy not to accept returns unless we can resell them." Really? You sell me a damaged good & it's "your policy" not to reimburse me for it (btw, with a receipt)? I gave him the box of InstaMold & told him to throw it away. Also, about a month ago I called & asked a female employee if they had a certain product. I even told her what section it would be in (scrapbook) and she said she'd go look. She returned to the phone and said in an exasperated voice, "No, I couldn't find the product & other employees I asked said they have never heard of it," with an attitude suggesting my request was a major inconvenience to her. The next day I went there for something different & low-and-behold, there is the product I asked her to look for in the scrapbook aisle. Did she even look? To be fair, I haven't had any other bad experiences. Usually someone asks me if I need help, and their selection is great. But the lack of respect as a (very good and frequent) customer I experienced tonight with my failed return really turned me off.
