Review content:
This is one of those places that make you love Portland. It incorporates all that I love about the city and its people. It’s part co-op, part recycling center, part construction thrift store, I can spend hours here dreaming up projects to utilize the rescued treasures. Everything you can imagine coming from a house is amidst the vast labyrinth of stuff. They have recently expanded and the new space was badly needed to put lumber and such under cover. Having bought a circa 1915 fixer Cape Cod, I was glad to find a place to donate my old bits and pieces: doors (and associated hardware), electrical fixtures, trim, carpet, flooring, cabinets, bathroom fixtures, appliances, etc. The prices are good, and the staff (some volunteer) is sparse but helpful. Also, it’s a great place for mixed media art project inspiration!
