I've always liked this place. They're smaller than say, Zumiez or Newt and Harold's, but they hold their own. They have a decent selection, usually big enough to accomodate my needs, and their prices are fine. The have a great staff, very helpful and nice, and they're in a good location. It can get crowded over there on weekends, but if you hit it during the week, you should have no problems. They also sponsor local skaters, which is great. I would recommend the Board Room to anyone who needs some new skate stuff.

These guys have been open forever, I got my first skateboard here, and I've always been impressed. Their prices are pretty much on par with everyone else, but their service is great. There's always someone willing to help you, educate you, whatever. And they have a great selection, usually being the only store in Boise to carry some of the smaller brand snowboards, boots and bindings. If you catch them during a sale, you usually can't get out without buying something, which is by no means a bad thing. Check this place out, they're great.

I like going into Mainland Surf and Snow because the employees are all pretty nice and very willing to help. Their selection, however, is pretty small. They mostly sell clothing, despite their name, and finding good snowboard and skateboard stuff is hard to do. There are a few staples, brands and items, that all skate and snow shops should have, and these guys don't have them. It's just disappointing, because I'd buy from them if they did, but they just don't have what I need. Anyway, check them out, but don't expect much.

I'm currently living in an apartment I rented through All Property Services, and it's been a very conflicted experience. My place is great, cheap, big, very good for a college student. But, the realtor neglected to mention the crazy traffic noise we get here. Granted, I should have foreseen it a bit, but it's pretty bad. When I was in the lease signing process, it was a hassle getting everything set up, especially because I lived out of state. Still, it was all done in time, and I'm happy overall. If you're looking for a cheap place to live, check these guys out, just make sure you keep bothering them until all the kinks are knocked out.

I went here on a whim after one of my favorite sushi houses was closed, and I was quite impressed. First off, it wasn't crowded in the slightest, which I wasn't expecting. Second, their menu was huge, with everything from sushi to, what the name of the restaurant hints at, hibachi grilled food. I went for the chicken and filet mignon combo, and oh my lord was it good. Plus the chefs are quite entertaining, each with his/her own style and tricks. I enjoyed myself immensly and would recommend anyone who likes japanese food to check it out.

I went in here yesterday to get some Disc Golf Frisbees, and I was astounded at the selection. They must have had more than 100 different discs, in every imaginable weight and color. And, prices were the same or cheaper than some of the chain stores like Garts. Plus, the sales staff is very knowledgeable and helpful, and they have used discs if you just want to get a crappy one for water holes or whatever. They also have snowboarding and skateboarding stuff, which I will check out later. I would recommend heading here if you need anything I've mentioned.

The main selling point of Big Dog is there cheap prices. They usually run like ten to fifteen dollars cheaper per book than the campus book store, and about five cheaper than Rams Book Store. If you're going for price alone, which many are, buy here. I personally don't like the place, it's to much like a warehouse, and they don't sell much other than books. The other two book stores sell school supplies and whatnot, which can be very beneficial. Either way, Big Dog is cheap, probably worth the extra trip elsewhere to buy supplies.

I always pre-order my text books from the Rams Book Store, and they're almost always about 5 to 10 dollars cheaper than the campus book store. They also throw in discounts and other little things like free gift cards and whatnot, plus there's almost never a wait or a line. Big Dog is slightly cheaper, but I just like the Rams Book Store more, and it's closer to where I live. If you want to avoid lines and higher prices on campus, head here, it won't disappoint.

I visited B & B Pickle Barrel for the first time yesterday, and it was amazingly good. I got a five dollar gift card free with my textbooks, so I decided it was worth a taste, and I will definitely darken their doorway again. They have about 25 sandwich options, or you can opt to make your own. They also have soups and all sorts of desserts. Expect to spend six to seven dollars a sandwich, which is well worth it. I loved their hot Balboa, and I've heard great things about the Hop Sing as well. Be sure to check this place out.

Another of the many small clubs in the Fort Collins area, this is definitely among the best. It usually draws slightly bigger bands than, say, the starlight, but it's still nice and small, so you're not fighting like a thousand people to see the band. Ticket prices are fine, usually like twelve to fifteen dollars, and they have shows most nights of the week. I quite enjoy the ambiance, and would recommend this place to anyone.
