The ballard locks are a wonderful place to take you kids. They have a beautful garden and a fish ladder. I enjoyed the tour that they gave us, with information on the history of the garden and facts about the locks. I really liked seeing the boats come in from the sea and raise 20+ feet to fresh water in Lake Washington. It's amazing how they can move the water so fast. Give yourself a couple of hours to see everything.

Remember to bring your camera because the animals are awesome. I like to take my family and seeing there big smiles when we they see the animals. My kids love to see all the different kinds of animals. The elephants and bears are a big hit. They also enjoy the petting zoo. You can take food inside so you might want to plan that since the prices at the restaurants are high. Overall wonderful Zoo.

My wife's parents stayed at the Renton Inn while visiting one weekend and we are all very unimpressed with their facility. The rooms are small and the beds uncomfortable. The price is fair, but you really don't get much for the money you pay. The Renton Inn might work in a pinch, but don't expect to wake up refreshed in the morning. No need to bring your swim trunks as there is no swimming pool since it's a small local hotel.

Johnson's Home and Garden Do-It Center is a fun place to browse. The prices on some items seem high and on other things, inexpensive. They offer you free popcorn while you shop which helps keep the kids from getting so bored they run around the store. It¹s a little crowded in there but things are fairly easy to find. It¹s not anywhere close to being as big as Home Depot, but it works for smaller projects.

Cascades Camp and Conference Center is a fun camp for the kids! My daughter has visited a few times the most recent being the Horse Camp at the Sunrise Ranch. She had a blast and the counselors were friendly and trustworthy. The prices are a little steep but if you are in need, they do offer partial scholarships. They've put new cabins in and they look great. The lake nearby is clean and the camp itself is full of trees.

Although we didn't end up going with Kiel Mortgage for our home loan, we did receive really great customer service when we were in the market to buy our first home. At the time, we weren't in the right position to buy and Kiel Mortgage didn¹t try to make a way for us to be able to buy that would have stretched our income so far that we probably wouldn¹t have been able to make our monthly payments. I was really impressed with their honesty and would highly recommend their services.

Photos To Go is a little on the expensive side. They do have a nice shop and can do a lot of different things ranging from film development to photo restoration. You can also purchase a nice frame for your enlarged photo if you would like. It's in a convenient location in the Benson Fred Meyer complex so you can drop off your film for an hour and go shopping if you need to.

The Renton License Agency is always very busy, so expect to wait in a line that goes out the door when you visit. It's best to try to get there during hours that most people work, avoiding the lunch hour. Mondays and Fridays are the busiest it seems. If you call their office, don't plan on talking to anyone personally. A machine picks up and asks you to leave a message and they will call you back. I was surprised to receive a phone call back the same day though.

I needed a part for my Dodge Neon and thought to look at Affordable Auto Wrecking since I didn't want to pay an arm and a leg for a part when it was likely I was going to get rid of the Neon. When I called, the guy who works there was able to answer my questions and also pointed me out to where I could find the car to get the part I needed when I stopped in. In the end, the part didn't end up working for my car and they were good enough to take the part back and give me a credit. I really didn¹t even expect them to give me a credit since they offer no refunds. I was very impressed with their service.

The Amphitheatre in Puyallup shows the play, Jesus of Nazareth, every summer. Last summer, we got tickets and the show rained out. I was a little unhappy with their customer service, or lack thereof. It was nice of them to cancel the show because it was pouring rain, but we had to be present in order to get a refund. Rather than giving us a full refund, they offered tickets for next season and though it was appropriate, I was a little disappointed with the communication. They are very difficult to get a hold of so if you do every have a problem, you'll need to be a little patient with them.
