On my first visit I was given a tour of the store which was very professional, and the store kept up very nicely. The brittle is very good, but not work the $20-$28 per pound in my opinion, especially since one variety I purchased, pecan-coconut brittle, had too few pecans.

Very good and home-made. Most of the franchise places are overpriced and not as good in my opinion. I especially enjoy the many unique flavors that they create.

I probably would have never gone to this place, but I purchased a certificate from restaurant.com, because I was looking for a restaurant in the area. This is a no frills seafood place. The food and service were great, and it was a lot of food for the money. It was a bit hard to find, but it's attached to the Citgo gas station. The only thing I didn't like is that you can order a lot of items either fried, grilled, or blackened. We ordered some fish grilled and some blackened, and it seems to me that they cooked both in a deep fryer without batter, and for the "blackened" version, they just dumped cajun spice on it. I was disappointed in this sense. I would have just gotten it all fried if I knew it was going to be prepared this way. The hush puppies, coleslaw, and key lime pie were on par with some more expensive restaurants. Our waitress did a great job of making sure we got refills on our drinks, and had all the sauce that we could ever want. Here's a link to their web site http://www.laggoonz.com/express.htm

This has to be the fifth time in a row now where I felt like I was being rushed out of a chain restaurant. Before we were finished eating, the waitress came over and asked if we wanted dessert, coffee, or anything else. We said no and she brought the check. Could she not have waited five more minutes until we were actually done and had time to think about dessert? I guess not. It wasn't even busy on this Tuesday night. She was kind enough to give us a to-go cup of soda. This helped to offset the $2.19 that was charged for it.
My wife and I ordered salads via a BOGO coupon, and the salads were good. I had the Asian Chicken Salad, and my wife had the Fajita Chicken Salad. Both were tasty and not swimming in dressing. The chicken tasted like it had been cooked a while ago. The Fajita Chicken salad was a larger than the Asian Chicken. For $8.50, I would say it was a decent value. If the chicken was grilled fresh, I would say the salads were great.

I ordered the Buffalo chicken sandwich on ciabatta bread. My wife had the Philly cheese steak on ciabatta (FYI - It's pronounced CHA BOTTA). We both got them with a side of onion rings. It was enough for two meals since we only ate half. The sandwich and onion rings were great (bread was a little soft and soggy for being ciabatta), and the food didn't take that long, even though they were busy. Our waitress, on the other hand, wasn't so great. She didn't offer any refills on our drinks and assumed we were done by just laying the checks down on the table. How did she know whether or not I wanted some coffee or dessert? I felt like she just wanted us to get out of there. What happened to actually caring about your customers? As a former busboy and waiter myself, I usually give at least a 20% tip if the service is just ok. Not this time!

Normally I really enjoy Panera. However, this particular location was very dirty when we walked in, yet it was not busy and the employees were standing around. After we ordered a chai latte and waited 10 minutes, it was half-full. It was made by a trainee. It wasn't her fault. She couldn't find anyone to help her make it, nor could she find the ingredients to make it, which is why it took 10 minutes. I feel bad for her because she seems to be working hard while the rest of the employees are not doing anything. There was no milk or half and half for the coffee either. It was like they were all taking a mental break. On a positive note, they have tables outside under shelter which is real nice.

I think the food is great and is a good value. It is served family style which means you choose each course separately and share. For my wife and I, a small Caesar salad, and small cannelloni was more than enough. However, the decor in this "family" atmosphere is very distasteful in my opinion. A lot of the pictures have some kind of sexual innuendo, and for that I will not go back to this restaurant chain. Others have similar decor. I would definitely not want kids to see many of the pictures hanging on the walls.

This is just another Darden Restaurant chain (Olive Garden, Smokey Bones, Red Lobster). I don't like places like this one that only seem interested in taking your money and getting you out of there as soon as possible. After an hour wait, the food was good, but it was mostly just a lot of hype and very little actual food for the price. One thing that happened that really annoyed me was that they brought out our dinner 1 minute after we got our appetizer (no kidding). I said something so they took our dinner back, and then brought it out when we were done with the appetizer, about 10 minutes later. It was the same fish, though it was not as fresh and hot by this point. I would have complained some more except that we just wanted to leave by this time.

In a recent visit, the food was good, especially the soup, salad, and baked goods. This is what they are known for. They also have pasta and soft serve (frozen yogurt?). The pasta didn't look that good, and the soft serve was a little icy. The service was also good. You help yourself to everything, but they have a bus boy who collects your dirty buffet plates. I would look for a coupon in the Sunday paper or sign up for their e-mail newsletter to get coupons, because I don't think the dinner buffet is worth the regular price of 8.99 unless you're a big eater. Here's the http://www.sweettomatoes.com for their web site.
