Applebee's is about what you would expect for a chain restaurant, nothing more and nothing less. They serve regular American style food and you can get hamburgers salads etcetera. I think they have pretty good chicken fingers and really good french fries. You get what you pay for here at Applebee's but it is an alright place if you are hungry and near one.

Whitewater Atlanta is a favorite for kids but it seems kind of dirty to me. They have a ton of water slides and a lazy river and all kinds of things to occupy your kids for the entire day. The food is expensive of course so try to pack something to take with you. Also look out for deals or get a season pass if you want to go pretty often, that will make it a better deal for you.

American Adventures is an amusement park made just for those little tykes. I would not take kids much older than nine or ten to American Adventures because they will be really bored or feel out of place. American Adventures has many of the same rides that you would find in the kid sections and regular sections of other amusement parks but they are scaled down and made little kid size. Fun way to spend the day if you have little kids! They will love it.

Jonathan Kellerman really cannot write a bad novel about Alex Delaware. Even though this was not my all time favorite novel by him, I thought that it was still really interesting and exciting. I finished it in about two days. This book is about a case or alleged case of Manchausen syndrome by proxy in which a parent intentionally hurts to sickens their child in order to gain attention.

Well-written play but not one you want to read on a nice weekend afternoon. This serious and ultimately pessimistivc view of the elusive American dream is a bit of a downer. You can't help but relate to Willie Loman as he tries to do what everyone in America tries to do - carve out a piece of the American dream for himself. Good read, very meaningful but a bit dark for my liking.
