Good and fast-- what more could you want from a pizza place?
If you make the trip to the restaurant, make sure you try one of their home made sodas. Their milkshakes are also delecious, and they will deliver them. If your a student, make sure to get the student special-- a large pizza and a soda for barely any money at all. The pizza is good, though not to everyone's taste. I find their crust to be expecially nice.

While Ollies is not the best chinese food you will find around, they are quite good. Try the fried rice, or the sesame noodles. While many swear by ollies, you can find better in New York City. Still, their take out is quick and their restaurant is nice. Its a good place to go with friends or family. Great for a pre-movie not to expensive yet nice dinner.

The last drop offers good coffee and chai's and various other drinks, along with a variety of foods and deserts. Occasionally, they have a vegan cake as well. Its frequented by students, and also seems to have a regular crowd. In there, you might feel left out. But bring your own music and a book, a journal, or some work and you'll fit right in. In the summer, sit outside and enjoythe fresh air.

Joy Tsin Lau is a favorite spot of mine for the weekend Dim Sum brunch. Its very busy, and you will often have to wait, so budget in extra time. However, the long line moves suprisingly quickly, and as soon as you are seated you will be greated with a delightful array of treats. You may have to try everything to figure out what your favorites are, but then the next time you go, you'll know. the food comes around in carts, and you ask for what you want from the cart. If your eyes are bigger than your stomach, you can bring the food home. Its just as delicious heated up as a snack later.

I have never seen anyone dissappointed at Penang. Located in chinatown, its in the bustle of everything, and very close to Market East. The Mango Chicken is definitly my favorite dish. It comes in a mango, with a sweet yet spicy sauce. Penang has a lively atmosphere. Not good if you want a quite dinner. Go there for a night out with friends, and you will really feel like you have gone out. Penang can be very busy, and it does get crowded. the tables are rather close together, and are often all full. If that is not what you want, do not go here! But it is a testament to their excellent food.

La Na is quite a nice place for the occasional evening out. Perfect for a special occasion for college students, or as a place to have your parents take you when they visit. Its a little above the everyday budget of a student, but not too pricey for the occasional, and the delicious food is worth it. You will often have to wait for dinner, but the service is friendly. The curries are delicous, as is pretty much everything I have tried.

I recently became lactose intolerant, and the discovery of Gianna's Grille has significantly improved the quality of my life. My favorites are a white pizza with soy cheese, tomatoes and pineapple, but they will make just about any combination for you. I also love their vegan soft-serve ice cream and ice cream shakes (the peanut butter and chocolate one is AMAZING!) They also have a large variety of delicious cakes and deserts. Really, you'll enjoy them even if you are not vegan! I recommend the connolis. Gianna's is a great place to go with people with varying dietary needs, as they have both vegan pizza and pizza with real cheese. They also have a variety of other foods (vegan cheese steak, etc), though i have not found them to be as good as the pizza.

Amazing coffee, amazing pastries, amazing place to study, what more could you want? I frequent HPS every time I am in the city. You can sit outside if its warm, and its right accross the street from the Cathedral, so its quite nice! Its frequented by students and professors, I've even heard of Columbia professors who hold office hours at HPS! I reccomend a cappucino and a chocolate croissant. if you eat there, they will heat up the croissant for you. They have a wide variety of delicous pastries and cookies. Either order to go, or order and they will bring it to you. You can go next door to P&W for a delicious sandwich which you can enjoy in HPS, but don't bring any other food in there, they will not allow it. It can be busy and hard to find a seat when the colleges in the area are in session.

At Old City Coffee I got an amazing cappuccino. They had soy milk, and a large size was relatively inexpensive (a much better deal than starbucks!). My friend got a Hot Chocolate, which she thuroughly enjoyed. The place to sit was very nice and comfortablte, and the service was friendly and quick. The Cappucino was just bitter enough to be perfect, not one of those sweet things you often get. I would definitly reccomend this place for a good cup of coffee and a nice place to sit and relax! I did not try their food, but it looked good, and they did have a nice selection for a coffee shop.

I went to Tabu for a pedicure. It was certainly enjoyable. However, my toes and nails were not in pristine condition (thus my desire for a pedicure) and the woman criticized me for it--in fact, I felt rather judged. Luckily, that did not affect my experience much, however, if you have less than stellar nails and dont enjoy being judged, i would not reccomend Tabu. Otherwise, the Spa Pedicure was very nice. Relaxing and all. I was given tea and all in all made to feel very comfortable. I did not have to wait long, and they were very obliging when I wanted to change the time of my appointment. However, the first time I called, making the appointment took ages, as the person i was speaking to seemed rather incompetent. her mistakes had to be rectified when i got there. still, it was a nice experience, and wasnt over-the-top expensive.
