Meijer is too big for my liking. The store sprawls for ever. The grocery side is big in and of itself, and when you add furniture, clothes, gardening supplies, etc, forget it! That said, you can find good deals here. Not everything is a great deal, but you can still find some real bargains. One thing that gets on my nerves: I usually buy general toiletries when I go to the grocery store, but at this Meijer, the store is laid out in such a way that the toiletries (health and beauty) are on the opposite side of the store from the groceries. So, I park on the grocery side, do my grocery shopping, remember that the toiletries are on the other side of the enormous store, make my way over there, then make my way all the way back so I can check out and leave. It eats up a bit of time and makes me cranky. ;-)
One other thing: I wouldn't recommend going to this Meijer at night. It's kind of creepy and you'll find some shady types hanging out in the parking lot. I swear I almost got abducted there once...but that's a story in and of itself...
