Sometimes you just don't have a choice. You have to have specific supplies for specific classes in college. I recommend being proactive and trying to avoid getting stuck paying the outrageous Blue Raider prices. I recommend trying half.com for your books and local hobby stores for art supplies. Blue Raider offers a buy back program for used text books but you can do much better selling your used text books on the internet. I don't recommend Blue Raider due to the high prices and the poor customer service.
