Ling also makes the best iced coffee. She's a little older woman and I always request her services when she makes my iced, double espresso with boba (tapioca balls).

Employees are rude and the car service is substandard.
I drive out of my way to go to Champion Toyota. That's how bad the Central City locatin is.

I live in University City and drive nearly 30 minutes out of my way to get to Champion Toyota.
The people are nice and extremely helpful. I know nothing about cars, and since they keep tracks of your vehicles service history, they print out the necessary services for your car once it's time to get them.
They also do an excellent overall diagnostics (tire pressure, fluids, etc) job with every service, even when you just go in for an oil change. You pay a premium over your neighborhood mechanic, but it's worth it.
Plus, while you're waiting, you can head over to the Shoe Warehouse (I think it's called), which sells excellent designer knock-offs of major shoe brands. I got a suade, shearling Michael Kors knock-off pair of boots for $20, which beats the real thing by about $300.

This place is so popular that you can hardly find a place to sit. Unlike Starbucks, their strong and roasty coffee does not upset your stomach yet packs the same punch.
When the weather is warm, I would get their frozen coffee. The sugar and cream is included, and the power isn't diluted.
If you have a craving for iced coffee, this place, unlike many others, adds a shot of espresso to their iced coffees so you don't end up with watered-down coffee. I can't recommend a better place for a cup-o-joe.

(2) Cookies and brownies are overpriced. For 15 people + 1 gallon of milk, the bill was nearly $45.
(3) The products do not taste any better than the slice-and-bake cookies from home, and are considerably more expensive. Take the extra two minutes and pop the instant stuff in the oven.

It's the quickest and easiest way to cater a lunch or dinner. They give you: (1) chaffing dishes with sternos to keep the food warm, (2) chips, salsa, and guac, (3) all of the great taco sides, (4) chicken and steak, and (5) dessert.
Also, if you return the chaffing stands, for each one you return, you also get a certificate for 2 free entrees. This is great when the catering is expensed by a company.

The best deals are actually at the Urban in University City (adjacent to UPenn). Lets face it: students are poor. They always have the best sales. I paid about $40 for 7-jeans, don't ever pay more than $15 for a top, and never pay more than $20 for pants (other than jeans).
Take the extra time to go over the bridge.

Make-up application: I came out looking like a china doll. She didn't match my skin tone with the foundation and accentuated every unflattering aspect of my face. If you're looking for a make-up application, go to the experts at MAC. Don't ask for a "glamour look" when you go or else they'll put your make-up on like a drag queen.
I paid about $100 to look terrible

My favorite post-dinner place is Capogiro. I've hit up places in NYC and Cali and nothing seems to capture such a powerful flavor except this little gem in Center City. To top it off, they also serve the wonderful La Colombe coffee.
They use seasonal fruits for their Gelato (except for the Lemon, which they always have). In addition, they play with exotic fruits and blends of fruits and herbs, believe it or not. I would definately take advantage of these rare finds. Get the pineapple/herb blend, if availible.
If you have a penchant for chocolate and/or coffee, get the Cappochino gelato, which is also made from La Colombe coffee. They always have some sort of chocolate-flavored gelato.
The only downside is the price: A coffee and two scoops of gelato will set you back $9.
