The Magic Shop at Seaport Village is a good shop for beginners and even advanced magicians. They have magicians in the store that will demonstrate how to do tricks that you can buy there. They have simple gag tricks, but also advanced tricks for more adept magicians. This is a fun place to stop in to, you never know what sort of amazing tricks or stunts you'll see being performed.
