I had the misfortune of taking pills that counteracted with each other and had to be rushed to ECRMC for emergency care. I arrived at the hospital around 2am and the doctor and nurses who cared for me were most condescending and rude.
THey were certain that I had purposefully taken these pills to overdose, and called a psychologist from a mental health center to evaluate me before they'd let me leave.
My stomach had to be pumped and while I should have been given care and consideration, all I got was rude remarks and bigoted comments about my condition. They treated my husband rudely as well because they had somehow formed the idea in their head that he was to blame for my accidental mixing of medications.
Perhaps the staff was having a bad day/night, but I found their treatment of me and my husband, as well as their overall lack of professionalism to be beyond the pale, and I would not reccomend that you go to this hospital unless you're in dire need of life-saving services. Even with that being said, be prepared to be talked down to, insulted, and have incorrect accusations thrown at you and your family
