Employees are very helpful and will walk you through an entire project.

This park is located adjacent to Capitol Lake in the heart of downtown. It has an awesome running/walking trail that encircles the entire lake. If you like to go futher than that (approx. 1.2 mi.) you can continue to Tumwater Historical Park for another 3 miles for about a total of 4 miles. There's public restrooms on either side of the lake along with water fountains every mile or so. Downfall: no play toys for kids, crummy grass.

This store specializes in high-end audio and video for the home. They have a nice selection of wide screen HD televisions and a nice display area. The staff are far more knowledgeable than at Circuit City or Best Buy, but the prices seem a bit higher and they don’t have many promotions like interest-free financing like the big stores. They specialize in custom audio video systems that the other box stores can’t do.

I went here looking at gas barbecues and was disappointed in a rather limited selection of very expensive units. I found a Weber gas grill for less through Amazon.com and when I called this store to see it they’d match the price, they said no. I wanted to give my business to a local store, but they weren’t interested in dealing with me. I say go to Home Depot and get a better deal.

Our 40 person office just used this company to install a new, state of the art phone system. The new system works great and the transition was as smooth as can be (you would expect a few problems, but there were none). They also provided training to the entire office staff and stayed around to answer individual questions. You could tell they had a lot of experience in doing these types of installations. We also bought wireless headsets from them, and the service was also excellent.

This store has nice high-end appliances on display and seems to cater to contractors as several friends and family have used McKinney’s when building new homes or remodeling. Although the focus is on contractor sales, they are set up for walk-in customers and have a nice showroom and seemingly knowledgeable staff. I’ve heard no complaints about service.

My Dad took in a set of Callaway irons to be re-shafted, and the first day on the course, two of the heads flew off. This is the only golf-only shop in the Olympia area, so it is tempting to go there, but the workmanship is suspect. It is a very small store with very little stock or selection. The best place in the area is Pro Golf Discount in Tacoma – a 30 minute drive.

We used this local title company when we recently re-financed our house. There were no problems and the process was very smooth and painless. Of course, there is a lot of paperwork and signatures necessary, but the staff person from Pioneer explained everything we were signing and seemed knowledgeable about the process and had clearly done it many times before. It’s nice to have confidence in the title company when you’re signing your life away.

Our office has used Tags many times for award plaques, trophies and other engraved items. We’ve always had good service and on the rare occasion that a mistake was made on an engraving, Tags was happy to fix it immediately. We have also used them to make rubber stamps and name badges for meetings. All in all, they do a very good job.

Our family has used this company to transfer old 8mm family movies to DVD with great results. We took in the movies, told them what order to put them in and picked the DVD up a week later. In addition, we used Videoland to convert U.S. videotapes to the European system so that we could send videotapes to relatives in Germany that can be viewed on their system. Once again, there were no problems and they knew exactly what we were talking about when we asked the questions. These guys know their stuff.
