The last time I went to Big City Diner on Waialae Avenue in Kaimuki, it was, unfortunately, a take out order (a "working dinner"). Why is that unfortunate? Because I didn’t get to enjoy my meal with the "diner ambiance" that Big City is known for. The generously sized hamburger I ordered was still very good, as usual, and the french fries were still hot when I took it back to the location I was working at (which was, fortunately, right across the street).
Prices are reasonable (we're talking around a Zippy's range here) for the what you're getting and major credit cards are accepted. The only downside is that the meals are cooked to order, so if you’re looking for fast-food-speed, head down the street to McDonalds instead.
