I never felt more like I was being up sold on dental work that was supposedly necessary.
After my consultation with Dr. Refoa, I told her that my dental work needed to be limited due to my lack of full-insurance coverage and personal funds.
She told me I had 6 cavities that needed fillings and at least 2 wisdom teeth that needed to be extracted – totaling between $2,000 and 3,000. The whole time she was not clear on what procedures were really necessary. On top of that she could not explain how she came up with the price of each procedure. I even had my insurance co-payment fee schedule with me, to help her break it down.
All in all, I would not recommend this dentist. Since then I have found a new dentist who told me I actually did not have any cavities.
