On Seavey street (a side street in the center of town) in North Conway you can get great Prime Rib, Steaks, Seafood and more at Decades Steak House. Decades offers an extensive menu of fine dining and pub fare in a smoke free environment. This popular North Conway restaurant is filled with one of a kind sports, entertainment, and political memorabilia from the 1920's to the present.
We enjoyed one of the house specialties Slow Roasted Angus Prime Rib, this was served with a wonderful Garlic Mashed Potato. It melted in your mouth and reminded me of the old steak houses that were so good and have slipped away. Our other choice was the Decades Beef & Reef, half a basil grilled Maine Lobster Tail and 8 ounces of NY Strip Steak. This was served with grilled Aparagus. Outstanding even without the ocean view. Dinner was also accompanied by wonderful homebaked bread.
The menu is not limited. You can dine on Rack of Lamb, over 8 selections of Beef, 8 selections of Fish and Seafood, as well as a few Italian entrees. Gourmet Pizza Burgers and Sandwiches, great Soups, Chowders and Salads, and over 10 appetizer choices. This menu is almost 6 pages long.
Dessert, and the list was quite appealing, was Creme Brulee, and as this is a favorite I rank this right in the top five on my list. If I had not been so full, I would have tried at least two or three, they all were very inviting.
Decades is average priced starting at $6.95 for burgers and ranging from there. The amount of food was generous and we felt the value was definately there. A nice wine list and full bar are available. This is a family oriented establishment so do not hestate to bring the children here.
