Cal Cleaners is really convenient for students who need to get their clothes dry-cleaned for nice events or dates and they are very nice to customers. Shiekh is an excellent shoe store and it is less than one block away from campus. It is right next to a convenience store (Rexall) and Hot Topic. Shiekh has a great collection of shoes, from dress shoes to sneakers to boots to sandals and they all come in different colors and sizes. The customer service is great and the prices are decent. The shoe displays are really nice too so you'll have fun shopping here.

The focus on lotions and soaps and other moisturizing products for women and feminine men. I really like the different scents they have. They also sell bath loofas that have animals such as a duck on them.

You can sign up for a plan and if you have a 1 or 2 year contract, you can get a free phone and rebates back that you can use for your monthly payments. It is much better to go to a middleman in the phone business than the actual brand because deals are better. For students who have cell phone issues, come to Fone Art since it's so convenient.

Eclair Pastries is located on Telegraph Avenue in Berkeley. It is four blocks away from the campus and it's next to a dollar store and Sway women's clothing store. They sell some pretty good treats and goodies and the service is really fast. The only problem with the store is that they do not have much variety of snacks to buy.

The Edible School Yard is a project started at Martin Luther King middle school in Berkeley and it's a food and gardening program for the students to not only learn about which foods are healthy but to have hands-on cooking and planting experience. This program is incorporated in their teaching curriculum and students get a lot out of it. The School Yard is available for personal tours and when you check it out, it's really wonderful and beautiful.

Wicked is a very popular store for some students at Berkeley. They are similar to Hot Topic and sell a lot of funky jewelry and other cool little things. The prices are cheap and the customer service is pretty good. I think it's a very neat shop to check out if you're browsing Telegraph and Berkeley. Bring some friends and get some cool stuff!

Funky Riddm Records is located on Bowditch in Berkeley and is pretty close to the UC Berkeley campus. It doesn't seem like a super popular store to the students but that's probably because not very many people know where it is. They sell a lot of hip hop and underground music and it's very funky. I like the beats a lot and it's a very relaxed environment to browse and listen to music.

These apartments are really good for students because it is only one block from campus in a pretty safe neighborhood and there are lots of shops and fast food restaurants nearby so you will never go hungry. The rent's average compared to other places at Berkeley but to live this close to campus is hard to turn down.
