Well my boyfriend and I went one day, because I pass by the store often and I see what they have to offer, and it all looks so cute and pretty, but apparently they were about to clothes and they made no secret about it. They weren't going to clothes for about 20 minutes but they kept reminding my guy and I almost as if they didn't want us there. The store was still a bit crowded and there was barely any space to move around, so we decided to leave after looking at a few things and realizing we could find stuff that was equally as nice for a better price at other places. Don't go there unless you ABSOLUTELY have to and everywhere else is closed or something.

Well, I went there to buy some Tend Skin, for ingrown hairs. Not only did they have it, but they had it for cheaper than the manufacturer was selling it on their website! As I was looking for it I also noticed that hey have a wide variety of beauty products, taking up nearly two studios with shelves full of nothing but such products. AS I walked around I felt kind of intimidated because the people there were talking to the people whose hair they were styling and I kind of felt like I didn't belong, but when I went up to the counter they were really nice and helped me out with a smile on their face. As for styling hair, I think they specialize in women's hairstyles but I'm sure they can work with men's hair too.

Anyway, they have AWESOME clothes, if your style is alternative. My boyfriend looks really awesome in their clothes, but I don't look so great in them, ONLY because he's thin and I'm NOT-so-thin. But I still look pretty cool in them. Not GREAT but pretty cool. But if you're thin, have plenty of money (a shirt runs for about 40-120 bucks), and like alternative clothes, I wouldn't recommend any other place. Totally recommendable :)

I LOVE Panpipes. Not too sure why, but they're just so awesome, and it's so much fun to go into the store and take a look. Granted, the store itself may be small but don't let that fool you - they have a wide selection and can provide most of the stuff you need for a Pagan rite or ritual, or simply anything Pagan you want to do. They even have their cats wandering the store, and it gives it a homey touch. I went there for Samhain oil when I first dedicated myself to the craft and they even kept the store open late for me on Samhain :) They're really cool people. Great service, great selection, great prices, and just AWESOME overall. HIGHLY recommended!

Well, the food was okay, and at a pretty decent price. I had mashed potatoes, and they were DECENT in that there was still a lot of potato-peel in them (A LOT) and I also had a french dip, which unfortunately wasn't so great either. It was sitting in a small puddle of au jus (smaller than the sandwich itself) and there was no dipping involved. And I ordered Coke and, as for some reason most restaurants do, they gave me diet instead. Twice, even after I corrected them. The only good thing was the dessert, which was a chocolate waffle with chocolate syrup and vanilla ice cream, though it was a little sweep. Something else that bothered me was the hostess. She was very rude about seating us - we were only a group of 8 and none of their tables fit us and they couldn't accommodate us sitting together, so while we were discussing sitting separately, the hostess told us to decide or lose our table. Also, when we were done eating and went to go talk to our friends at the other table, she said "excuse me" very rude and then proceeded to PUSH us out of the way. Then the waitress for that table took too long to bring the check and when we complained she basically threw the check at us and said "thanks a lot" very sarcastically. And finally, having a pretty attractive boyfriend, I wasn't comfortable with everyone in there eying him like a piece of meat. If you're ever in the area, I suggest driving PAST it and somewhere else. There's a Mel's Diner nearby, and they're great.

Well, my boyfriend LOVES to bike, and since he had moved here recently when we visited Helen's, he didn't have a bike and couldn't have his old one sent out here. So we set out to buy a new one. Well, Helen's may be the only bike shop in Westwood, but I really don't feel like it's worth going to. Granted, the people working there are nice and funny, but bikes there cost WAY more than they should. We looked around and saw how expensive everything was, so I asked what their cheapest bike was, and they led me over to a dinky little bike that looked like it was meant for a 15 or 16 year old that was ON SALE for 200 bucks. I know places where you could get a bigger, nicer bike, for half that price. So if ou're looking for a bike, don't bother coming here unless you you have time and want a quick laugh. Or unless money means nothing to you.

I LOVE Sak's. Their food is VERY good, and I'm particularly fond of their gyoza (it's a baked dumpling of sorts). I always order something with gyoza or a side of gyoza, because it's so good. Their dishes usually come with gyoza, salad, the main dish and some rice, and it's kind of a lot of food - GOOD food - for a really great price. They're salad has this subtly sweet glaze that makes it additionally superior to other salads. Highly recommended, but it's also one of those places that only takes cash.

I'm pretty sure this is a local business, because they only have 3 stores and they're within decent driving distance of each other. Well, I went to the Hollywood shop and it was a bit small but the air conditioning was very welcome that day, seeing as how it was super hot. So yeah, my friends and I ordered some gelato, and it was ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS. THey had awesome flavors - I chose the tiramisu, and it was SO good! My friend's mom got half chocoloate, half coconut and she couldn't stop raving about how good it was. The prices are a bit stepp for the product, but in general it's afforadable and definitely worth it. Gelato is so great, and Gelato Paradiso really captures its "awesomeness".

I first heard about Oakley's from my boyfriend. He came home with a very cute haircut and I asked him where he got it and he gave me their business card, haha. He said they were great, so I tried it out. When I got there, it was kind of awkward because there were people chatting and stuff all over the place and no one to really help me out, but I stepped in a little further and someone came to help me out. They sat me down after I told them I just wanted a haircut and they really handled it well, even though I had no idea what I really excpected out of my hair. Well, I got it cut and it was just as cute as my boyfriends! :D They were really nice, and it wasn't expensive, only about 10 or 12 bucks, and it was a very friendly environment. Highly recommended :)

The green tea stuff that GTT has to offer are delicious and fun to snack on. My personal favorite is the Green Tea Shake Boba drink. The boba are fresh, and the shake is smooth and rich and delicious and best when drunk on a hot day. And everything they have to offer is really cheap. They also have green tea ice cream, as well as a variety of other rare flavors, such as plum. They also have Mochi, but they're mochi is comparable to that of other places that sell them for cheaper. But GTT is still AWESOME. Highly recommended :)
