A lot of people don't think churches are nothing but rules & old rituals. FCC is a different kind of church. Members come from many places in life: Protestants, Catholics, Jews and many who grew up without a formal religous background. This is a church with a long history of progressive Christian thought and social action. Congregationalists have been leaders in civil rights from slavery through gay rights. We wanted our children brought up in a warm & loving church that preached & practiced acceptance, and we found it here. The ministers are young & energetic and the congregation is growing. Many new programs & opportunities, including First Saturday worship, community outreach (Food bank, Heiffer Project, etc)Cinema Circle, and youth service trips.
