I love this place! 1/2 price on all food during happy hour (4pm-7pm daily). $1.50 PBR, $3 wells and draft beers. The atmosphere is what a pub should be without feeling like a college bar. They have pool in the back and have karaoke and trivia nights. If you are looking for a good pub in Wallingford, start with this one.

Obviously a specialty store for those interested in roller derby. I went there last Christmas because my sister is on a derby team. I highly recommend this place if you need advice regarding roller derby because the people who work here are all on derby teams themselves. They have everything from skates and pads/helmets to that fantastic fashion that derby is so known for. Plus, I always love supporting a local store!

I love this place. They are cheap and good. You know it's always a sign that the food is good when there is always a line for food (fortunately you don't usually have to wait that long). I really want to try their tamales, but have gone on three separate occasions and they were sold out. Also, the food kind of upsets my stomach, but I think it's because I always eat so much. Their burritos are HUGE.

Last May I was preparing to go to Mexico and decided it was time to take the plunge and get a bikini wax. I was really nervous, but Azita, the "Skin Care Therapist," was fantastic. She made me feel really comfortable (she called me "honey") and gave me some tips. I've had my brows waxed at Gene Juarez before and have always been impressed by the products they use (but I am by no means a veteran waxer!). I first saw Azita at the Northgate location, now she is at U Village. Ask for Azita when you go here!

That being said, my eyebrows looked great and I paid $5 less than I do at Gene Juarez (which in this economy I'll take what I can get). Overall, I guess you could say I ended up being indifferent myself...

I really like this gym. It's open 24 hours (w/excellent security), which is a must for me. It's in the middle of Fremont and has free parking. They have nice machines which are regularly wiped down. Overall I think Noel, the owner, takes a lot of pride in the place and it shows. They offer some classes (I do feel like they could offer them more often and with more variety), but I haven't taken advantage of them yet (goal for this month). I've never waited for a machine, but I usually come at 8pm.

If you are looking for great pizza, I don't think this is the place for you. Their pizza is pretty average and in a town like Seattle there are plenty of excellent pizza joints. If you are looking for cheap drinks, this place is excellent! I also like the atmosphere - good music is always blasting and there is always some crazy movie playing. Plus, once you've had a couple of the drinks pizza is always an added bonus. By far my favorite bar from college (I'm a recent grad) and I still sometimes go.

I just went here with a friend on Tuesday night. It was excellent! We shared a pot of "World Peace" (herbal tea) and I'm craving a cup right now (hence why decide to write this post now). I can't wait to get back and try some of their other teas. I thought it was clever that they provide a timer so you can make sure the tea seeps for the appropriate amount of time.

I love Todd, he's a great hair stylist and I've never been disappointed. I always walk out of his place with fantastic hair at a price I can still work into my tight budget. He doesn't pressure you into buying products and doesn't judge if you walk in and it's been a little too long since your last cut. The location is easily accessible in Wallingford on 45th close to the 44 bus stop. I love this place and highly recommend it.
