There's not way to say this without sounding arrogant but I left my husband and have a very successful career in NYC. I know it's time for me to date but I just hate being picked up at bars etc. I am busy and don't have time to filter for myself. I get asked out a lot but just say NO because I don't want to waste my time. I wanted a matchmaker to do the filtering for me. Again, not to sound arrogant but...I know I'm a catch. I'm attractive, intelligent, educated, fun, successful...yadda yadda. I told Janis that I should have to pay her but I offered some of my expensive services to her in exchange for her one on one meeting. SHe used my services and when I went to meet her, I come to find an old lady in sweats in the common room of an apartment building! I swear at one point she may have even fallen asleep! I was polite and we spoke for some time. She assured me that i am amazing and she'd work to connect me with a great guy. I patiently checked in with her every week for almost 2 months. Finally, I asked her to pay me for my services because she's clearly not going to set me up with anyone. She refused. That's fraud and theft in my opinion. Oh...on top of it, she's insulting and quite misogynistic they way she speaks to and about women. She must be stopped!
