Bad Experience 6/16/2009

Upon first look, the Hungry Onion looks like a fun friendly family-owned business striving to stay in business. But I have been inside and I know what goes on behind the Employee's only sign on the front door. I used to work there. We were not required to use gloves or even wash our hands before handling food. Actually, it was expected for us to go from the cash register directly to the food. The shake machine smells like sour milk even right after being cleaned and the chocolate ice cream always tastes sour. The tater tots are stored at room tempurature all day until the end of the night when they are put in the walk-in refridgerator. The management and work place are extremely unprofessional. One time while I was working, a former employee came and sold drugs to three current employees two of which were working that shift. I would not reccomend anyone to apply to work there or to go for a meal. They are dirty, over-priced, and unfriendly. The food is extremely greasy, or undercooked. My time spent working there was not a good one. Some food may taste all right, but I would rather not be the one wondering if I just ate the onion ring that the cook dropped on the floor and put back in the fryer anyway. more
