I just got a call from a Deide there on collection of payment for an incorrectly pulled tooth. I went in because my daughter had 2 teeth growing on top of her baby teeth and I wanted them pulled. The dentist mistakenly pulled the wrong one but I didn't realize it until we got home and then we turned around and went back to the dentist office. They took an x-ray of my daughters teeth to make sure they did not pull a permanent tooth (which they did not) an offered to pull the correct tooth. At this point I said no as I did not want them touching my child again. Four months later I get a call from Deide (I know her name because she called me from her house and I had to do a white pages search for it) She called me about the tooth and I told her I wasn't paying for them to pull the wrong tooth (not to mention they aren't filing the claim through the insurance company correctly). She said she was there that day and knew exactly what happened and they did not pull the wrong tooth. Ummmm...hello I'm her mother I think I am pretty aware of what happened to my child's tooth. This Deide could not even tell me why I was at the dentist in the first place although she knows everything that happened. I tried to explain to her but she insisted she was there and they did not pull the wrong tooth and then accused me of "just not wanting to pay my bill". Never mind that I have been going to this dentist for 6 years and was only late on one other bill she told me because again they filed the claim incorrectly! She said I obviously never pay my bills either. In case you don't know Deide there is such a thing as the "Fair Debt Collection Practices Act". You can't harass a patient or accuse them of not wanting to pay their bill! IT"S AGAINST THE LAW! I'm livid. I tried calling for the office manager but she is away on vacation and I don't have a number to reach the owner at. If this is how you treat loyal customers you're crazy. I should sue for malpractice on top of the harassing phone calls and accusations. How unprofessional! more
