I love my colorist (Monica) and my stylist (Risha). They are truly the genesis of tons of compliments on my hair every year. I've been with both of them for years and can't imagine anyone else taking care of my tresses. Maia is a terrific esthetician -- especially for those of us with really sensitive skin. My only complaint is that the salon doesn't turn away customers who arrive really late for appointments. Unless I'm the first appointment of the day, there's a good chance I'll be waiting 20 minutes beyond my appointment time for a cut. Be VERY clear with the front desk if you don't have time to spare.
Pros: Love my colorist & stylist
Cons: Appointments sometimes last for a long time

Not only do they have a great selection of everything you need, but they are really good about letting you return or exchange things if you get doubles or if someone buys something that you didn't want.

For most of my life I have been driving past Priscilla of Boston and admiring the lovely creations in the window, so when my fiance popped the question, Priscilla was the first place I visited! After reading that they were having a Platinum Collection trunk show, I called and made an appointment. I went with my Mom and my soon-to-be Mother-in-Law and was greeted with smiling faces! I did feel a bit out of place among the exquisite gowns as I am a rather simple sort of girl, but the consultant was so helpful. She (and about three other!) consultants combed the trunk sale and sample sale racks and piled the dressing room full of silk and lace. The very first dress I tried on was the one I fell in love with but I continued to try on the amazing gowns my consultant brought me. After about an hour and my heart still set on the first gown, she moved me down to the larger fitting rooms to try on some of the more expensive gowns. There were some moments when I noticed my consultant was a bit annoyed that I wasn't falling head over heels for the higher priced items, but she was never rude. I finally put that first gown on again and my consultant selected a veil to compliment the dress and as soon as I stood on that pedestal I knew...this was it! All of the consultants in the shop and the manager were so complimentary and simply insisted that I go with my instinct and take that one home. I found that very impressive because the gown I selected was significantly discounted in comparison to their standard gowns, they could have pushed one of the more pricey ones I liked! I have to say that the whole experience was wonderful and although I cannot say for sure because I only purchased the gown yesterday (!), I am sure that the fitting and alteration process will be just as fantastic! Main Line brides take heart: go see Priscilla!

Philadelphia's Main Line is seriously, seriously lacking in quality cuisine, make no mistake. That said, the only restaurant out here where I have found consistently great, quality food (other than Yang Ming) is Sam's. True it's not fancy - we're talking a great selection of roasted turkey sandwiches (I love the Supreme), pulled pork, ribs, excellent barbecued salmon, outstanding macaroni and cheese, OMG bread pudding ... - but consistently good, high quality cooking. Great servers, friendly cooks - this is a nice spot to take the family.
Pros: Awesome pulled pork, ribs, turkey, smashed

I had been going to high price "spa - salons" for years and tried Hairs to You after my son (who has very thick, unruly hair) received a fantastic hair cut. That was several years ago and I have been a regular customer ever since. My hair never looked better! The stylists take the time to listen to what I want. I have the color and cut that I had been trying to explian to high priced "spa" stylists for years.

I usually go there once a week and when I do, i usually always get something different but i always start out with a bowl of their exceptional won ton soup. It is not like the usual won ton soup that you get from a take out place. It is totally different. I recommed that you try it.

Cons: very noisy and long wait on friday nights
