Don't get me wrong; I still like Whole Foods Market. But The Fresh Market is smaller so it doesn't seem so commercial. It reminds me of the supermarché we went to in France, only The Fresh Market has nice dark wood shelves and cash register stands so it's more warm and inviting.
The Fresh Market has a lot of neat products that you can't find at Publix -- mostly European products like chocolate, wine, water, juice, etc. Of course you're paying a premium to buy these products, but if you really want it, you'll buy it.
I bought some raspberries (2 for $6) that were so fresh that, for once, none of them went bad before we had the chance to eat them all. And they were nice and plump and sweet. I bought them on Tuesday and we just finished the last of them this morning.
It might be a good thing that The Fresh Market is far away from me, because I might be tempted to go there more often. Although since it's really close to the Welli Mall, I might stop in there after a trip to the mall.
