The Lakeside Riding Academy offers lessons and trail rides in Hempstead Lake Park. I went on a trail ride that was excellent. Trail rides are around $20 and last for about 1 hour to 1 ½ hour depending on the speed of your horse. Horses are well trained and two guides are there to make sure everyone stays on the trail. The commands for the horse are easy to learn. The trail itself is beautiful in the spring, summer and fall. There are plenty scenic views of the lake on the trail.

This is absolutely my favorite mexican fast-food place on Long Island. All the food is very fresh and their sauces are amazing. I could make a meal out of that special brown sauce (I can't remember what it is called) and some chips. Their service is always very fast and friendly as well. DO IT!

Country arts in flowers Country Arts in Flowers has a pretty good selection of flowers, ranging from roses, tulips, sunflowers,daisys, and dried flowers. Depending on the time you go to Country Arts in Flowers, the selection will vary. The smell of the store is quite fresh, suggesting that flowers are restocked daily and are kept in good condition (cooling) during the day. The store has nice feel about it and the staff is friendly and helpful. The prices are a little steep but the roses are very nice

The Lantern is a long standing diner on the corner of Hempstead Turnpike and Nassau Boulevard - a convenient location. The food is good and the atmosphere is friendly. Many people go to the Lantern for meeting friends over a nice meal, a good breakfast, or a late night cup of coffee and pie.

If you looking for a to let loose after work, Oz is the place. While the dance floor is small, the club is relatively big. The drinks are good and not water down. Another downfall is the dj on Saturday nights. He is horrible. If you stay at the club longer than two hours, you can be sure that you heard the songs repeat at least 4 times. It is located right next to KB toy store, which makes me think about my daughter every time I go to the club. My friends say that when I see the store my whole mood changes and I don't want to drink or dance. I recommend Oz only for after work drinks, not for weekend clubbing.

If your looking for a nice drink, snack, or game of pool, then this is the place to be. You really wouldn't expect a place like this located in a strip mall area. Thank god its there. This is more than a Pool Hall or a restarant, this is a great getaway. From their nice big TV's showing all the sports to there great Buffalo wings, Raxx should be the standard for most pool halls. They have more than enought pool tables for everyone, they have a mini arcade, darts, great snack foods and burgers and you can even go on Tuesdays for Kariokie night. All in all, this is a fun cheap way to spend a summer or any night.
