What gives your nurse the right to give details of a patient to the news media! Police I understand but to release harmful details to a news source to humitate and damage a person who is already in a bad place with drugs. is a violation of her privacy. I hope that your actions do not result in bad results, once she discover what your nurse did. You are trained to help people not harm them,.... more

Upon arrival with my two children under three after having to drive my wife to work due to car trouble I was told with a straight face and no compassion that only one of the two could be seen. I explained that our appointments were back to back, and I would not be interested as I would have to bring them both again as I have no reliable sitter(which is why it was scheduled that way). This was for all purposes ignored, and when I received no customer service I requested a manager or someone who might be helpful. Another woman arrived who did not give me her name or title. From their website I would presume this to be "Teri" as listed on there. Again I was told that they could see one child with no explanation or compassion. I pointed out that we had two appointments, and I asked how long an appointment was in their system. Myself knowing full well that we have been stuck here an hour per child with regularity. She replied that the doctor is scheduled for four 15 minute appointments per hour(back to back). She also stated that the doctor sees the child in the first 15 minutes of each appointment. This was an outright lie and has never occurred in our ten or so appointments. She then went on to lecture me on my outstanding balance(which I had just called about that week) as if I was some kind of deadbeat. At this point I was rather upset and requested both my childs medical records because I would rather reschedule at another office. Again there was no apology or understanding, but I was simply handed a form as if this happens all the time. Once I had filled it out, she demanded a $30.00 charge citing a per page allowance they can request(as if I'm supposed to believe there were ~300 pages of material). At this point I re-considered and chose to re-schedule with them, and I decided to check later with my wife to decide whether to cancel at that point. They sent the very next day by certified mail a letter dismissing both children from the practice. I wouldn't entrust this office to any individual. more

In dealing with Dr Yaw I felt many times like she was not very knowledgeable on my child condition. She seemed very unorganized. I don't know how many times I had appointment issues with the Westerville office and the staff are rude. I can recall one visit at the Sunbury office where Dr. Yaw sat at the front desk surfing the internet about non work related things so I was forced to wait for her 20 mins after the set appointment time. They don't do follow up or reminder calls for appointment scheduling at the Westerville office. They are the only Dr office I've ever been to that doesn't. I was told by a nurse it was my job as a parent to take care of that, they should not have to call. I have since transferred my sons medical records to another Dr. more

I have been going to the Westerville Specialists for 2 years now and I have not had any problem. They are quick to reschedule and reminding me of my daughter's appointment is always a relief especially if I have the times mixed up. I will recommend this place to every parent I know and I trust that they continue to give us such great service. I am glad that I have a pediatrician (Michael Leymaster) and all other pediatricians and every other staff working at Westerville Pediatric Specialists taking care of my daughter. We've only been going here for a few month's but having a fairly ill child we are there often. I have found that it's very easy to get an appointment with the office for the same day with a sick little one. They also got my child in within a week's time for well visits which was nearly impossible anywhere else. The office is very clean and the waiting room is very inviting. A nice fish tank with mostly books and a few toys. The medical assistants are also wonderful with the kids. The exam room is well equipped with chalkboards to keep the children busy too. The Doctors and Nurse practitioner's are very nice. They seem very knowledgeable and give reassurance in high doses. I love this office and would recommend them to anyone. more
